The Sentinel House is a low income house which will be provided for sale to a family which has qualified through the HOOD program.  This program gives advantages to families that earn below the 80% of the median income in the Pima County.  This program also gives the opportunity to the College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture to have a studio in which the students and the faculty get first hand in the real world and gives back to the community.  Through this program, the community of the City of Tucson and the college are both benefiting from different aspects.

The project was a studio wide project, nine fourth year students with the guidance of professor Mary Hardin, completed the design, construction documents and presentation drawings of the Sentinel House.  The student team includes: Andrew Marriott, Diego O’Farrill, Kyle Bogasky, Liam Leonard, Max Sobin, Queston Kwolek, Tasanee Durrett, Valeria Moraga, and Van Escobar.  The Construction of the house will begin in August 2016 with the goal on having the dried portion of the house done by the Dec. 2016.
